Being an avid gamer myself I’m always hoping to get new video games for the New Year. Over the years I’m sure you’ve discovered most of your relatives aren’t as much into video games as you are, so you’re aware it’s more of a optimistic envision than a reality. If you’re lucky you may receive 1 or 2 games, along with some socks from your aunt.
However, getting a new gaming console is something completely unexpected. Unfortunately, for the most part that’s just the case for children. I had to purchase my own Wii. For Christmas I just received Dynasty Warrior for my Xbox, so it was still something.
No matter how you ended up with your Wii I’m sure you want to spend a majority of your New Year enjoying your new console and games. When your console breaks, or freezes, it can be very frustrating. It can be heartbreaking to see your new console not working.
The worst part about a console suffering from freezing and other problems on holidays is that most repair shops, including Nintendo, are closed. You’ll likely be unable to come into contact with Nintendo until the holidays are over.
Not to worry, you can fix your Wii yourself without too much work. It’s actually very easy to fix. The process of fixing your Wii depends on the nature of your Wii’s freezing problem. The two categories of freezing would be: if it freezes during game play, or during the home menu screen.
If the freezing occurs during game play, try loading a different game. If the game plays fine without freezing then the problem is with the game, not the console. If it has the same problem then the problem is with the console.
